Reviews
“Barbori Garnet’s book Home at the Office is a thoughtful and well-plotted journey from the idea of “I’d love to work from home!” to the realization of a comprehensive plan to make that dream come true. Her style is conversational, pleasant and easy to read, yet packs so much useful information in each chapter.  The Takeaway Tips section at the end of each chapter summarizes the important details and keeps you on track as you consider each step you need to make your own business plan work.

The book covers issues many of us would first consider, such as marketing, legal and accounting advice; but also other important and wide-ranging issues – from caring for your eyesight and maintaining your social contacts all the way through to keeping a record of computer anti-virus software updates – that do not come immediately to mind.  This is a very thorough description of what it takes to make working from home successful for each individual!

There are questions for  you to answer at each step of your plan, and check lists for you to create and maintain to keep you and your business plan organized and on track.  There are many suggestions on designing your personal workspace, and informative interviews with people who share their experiences of  working from home.

It is to Barbori Garnet’s credit that she has produced a work that is as detailed and useful as a manual, but reads like a story she is telling you over a cup of coffee.  She is positive and enthusiastic, and will get you off to a great start on your own home business!”
