5 Questions to Ask When Choosing a Musician for Your Wedding Ceremony, Part 1
What should you look for and ask when choosing a musician to play at your wedding ceremony? How do you make sure that the music at your ceremony will be magical and memorable? As a violin player at wedding ceremonies, I suggest that there are five questions you should make sure to ask and that you can answer with confidence before hiring the musician for your special day:
1. Is the musician willing to meet with you? This will say a lot about how easy or not it will be to work with the musician. If it is hard to schedule an in-person meeting with the musician at the beginning, then that is not a good indication of professionalism or of how the musician will respond to an important request or change later on. Meeting with the musician helps to clarify which music selections will be played and when they will be played during the wedding ceremony.
